It's that time again! The Third StupidFox contest, "StupidFox Around the World" is now up!  (Restrictions/Rules will be updated as questions/answers come along)



BREAKDOWN

Deadline: August 31, 2011
Location: Contest is open worldwide! Prizes can be shipped internationally!

Contest Summary: Take a picture of StupidFox (Plush or yourself/a friend in a mask) by a famous landmark near you or while on vacation (For example, Hollywood Sign, Famous Statues, Your Town's Tourist Attraction/Sightseeing spot, Niagara Falls-- without throwing fox over the falls-- etc, etc.)

REQUIRED MATERIALS: Official StupidFox Plush (OR) Official, unaltered Print-Out Masks: [link] / [link]
Required Equipment: Camera, Camera Phone, Webcam (Any Camera), Printer (Optional for Printing Masks) and Something to Upload the Photo.

ENTRY RULES - How to Send in your Entry
  1 >> Upload your entry to DeviantArt and place the photo under "Scrap" category.
  2 >> In the Artist Description, let us know the name/location of the Landmark.
  3 >> PLEASE include a link to googlemaps to pin-point the landmark (OR) Link to an official site of the landmark (OR) Link to an Article about the place. This must be done even if it's a famous/well-known landmark or monument.
  4 >> Put a link to the contest entry or www.stupidfox.net for reference.
  5 >> Send me a Note through DeviantArt with your contest Entry Link so that I may put it into a collection folder. OR e-mail me your photo to remynesc(at)gmail.com

RESTRICTIONS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY -  Last Updated July 19, 2011 @ 11:00AM PST Updates signified with

Limit TWO entries per person. No collages of photos into one image. If submitting two entries, they must be uploaded separately.

Limit ONE landmark spot only (Please explain landmark under Artist Description).

NO CRAFTS/ARTWORK -- You MUST either use the official, unaltered print-out mask(s) or the Official StupidFox Plush (If you have one), OR note me for clarification or if you want to try/suggest something else. *I know the masks say you can draw a mouth on it; but this will not be allowed for this particular contest. You can alter the size though.

*Hint: YOU MAY use the StupidFox mask in any way as long as it is in the photo as a main subject (aside from the landmark). But you may NOT draw your own mask or draw on the official mask in any way.

Closeups of landmarks are OK. (For example, if it is a large tower that will not fit in the entire photo while showing StupidFox, you may crop the landmark to one section. As long as we can still tell what/where it is )  -- Consider your composition.

DO NOT just snap a picture of your-masked-self or a StupidFox Plush standing idly in front of a landmark. Entries like this will be added to the collection, but only the ones with some creativity or thought will be considered for judging.

DO NOT use any Digital, Photoshop or (Built-in) Camera Filters, effects, airbrushing, drawings-over-photo, or sparkles.

YOU MAY use Programs/Photoshop to alter lighting/contrast/levels, censor logos, censor faces, clean up images, minor touch-ups.

DO NOT Digitally add or Photoshop a StupidFox into any photo in any way. You must take a picture of StupidFox ( or yourself) at the actual landmark. Photoshopped images will automatically be shredded by beavers.

Landmark must be an actual place. No imaginary Kingdom of Bunnies.

YOU MAY add other foxes/accessories/animals/etc in the picture-- as long as StupidFox and the Landmark are still clearly in view. The mask CANNOT be modified in any way, but your outfit can be!

Theme Parks or Fairgrounds do not count as landmarks (Due to Copyrights). The same goes for restaurants/malls/parking lots/your creepy neighbor's house/etc. Convention Centers are okay; just put a link to an official website or wikipedia article

Schools/University Locations do not count as landmarks in this contest. (Due to Privacy).

Community Market Places / Tourist Towns / Small Towns / Tourist Attractions / National Parks / Community Farms or Ranches are OK as long as they are not PRIVATELY OWNED by someone (this includes anything owned by yourself or your family). It would be best if there were a town center or something significant in the specific town that you can represent in your photo. In this case, please also include a third-party Article/Official Website/Google Map to the location. (Examples: Dursley, Solvang, Citywalk/Hollywood, Lake Michigan, etc) If unsure, please note me with the name of the location and link.

PLEASE DO NOT go to any dangerous places/locations or put yourself in dangerous situations. StupidFox isn't the most reliable hero.

What if you don't live next to any famous landmarks?
Any "Tourist Infested Area" works! You can look up your hometown on the internet and see if there are any Tourist/Travel Spots near you.
When uploading, you can write a short description describing the landmark or what it represents. You can also add a link to any information page or Wikipedia article.

You may enter any previously taken photos if you already took a picture of StupidFox by a landmark/tourist spot/famous statue or artwork.
You may enter the contest if the area has been done before

JUDGING - Because this is a contest, afterall~
NOTE: Number of winners will go up depending on how many people join the contest. Journal will be updated when cap is reached.
There will be a total of 2 Grand Prize Winners, 3 Finalist Winners, and 3 Runner-Up Winners Number of Prizes will go up with number of entries.
Judging will be based on the following, in order from most considerable: Creativity, Photographic Composition (Angle/Clarity), Concept, and Subject Matter (if applicable).

*"StupidFox Extras" Book is 21 Pages long, soft cover, and contains most of the Random StupidFox drawings that are not actually a part of the comic series. (However, there is one repeat image in it. Woops!) This minibook is not for sale. Ever.
