:star:  Hi there! :star:
I understand that I haven't been uploading much to DA and I haven't updated my Journal since... nearly Three Months ago eesh . This is due to several reasons:

:bulletred: DA has been laggy for me and has been giving me errors when I try to upload things. I don't know if it's the site that is having issues or if it's just me...?

:bulletyellow: I'm more active and update more on StupidFox's Facebook Page (about 1-2 times a week) at: www.facebook.com/StupidFoxFan

:bulletgreen: I'm working full-time (plus work-related commission) so I haven't had much time to work on any large projects or personal projects. I'll get some time to do quick sketches, but that's about it :( and then I usually work on comics during the weekend.

:bulletblue: I only really use DeviantArt now as a place to store my work and sketch/spam-dumps :D I've thought about getting Tumblr or Blog or something but at the same time, I don't have much time to draw anyway :cries: ... But I do try to keep active on Facebook since it feels more interactive and it's more convenient for me to upload things (as opposed to dealing with DA glitches and lag and feeling like I have to fill out a form whenever I upload something).

------

IN OTHER NEWS,
I promised someone I would get a StupidFox Contest going again this year, so I'm hoping to have that happen soon. A theme has already been planned out but I don't have time to organize the event yet. :faint:

Glad you are alive. I enjoy seeing your stupid fox comics when I log onto facbooks. Yeah, DA needs to fix their server problem. Like when I try to favorite art work it says there is some error.

Yeah, DA is just laggy in general. They need to get bigger servers, there's too much traffic and too little DA to go around.

As for the errors (this has happened to me before), try clearing your cookies. This'll log you out of a bunch of stuff (sorry), but for some reason DA thinks common cookies that people get are poisonous and won't let you do certain things depending on the cookies you have... I dunno, I'm no techie or computer nerd or anything, so I dunno why it does what it does without a LONG look at the code and someone to explain how the code works. :P

I could be new to this whole internet personality thing, but is it common (and smart) practice to never reveal the name of where you work in real life? I'm under the impression that it's better that way, even while people want to know.

Depends on if you want people to know your personal info like that. Kinda like how they say you shouldn't tell people where you go to school.

If the persona you have online isn't the same as you are in real life then generally you can be free with what's true and what's not. What you reveal and what you don't. But it depends on what kind of persona you have. *shrugs*

It could also be a latency issue.  Sometimes, on a content-heavy website like DA, someone sets the time-out thresholds a little too low and anyone with a connection that has even mild latency issues (ie, ping times over 300-400 ms) wind up having problems.

I especially noticed this when I was in the US Navy.  The ships that do get Internet while out to sea use a UHF radio connection for TV and Internet, and DA was all but useless at those times.

Right now, I'm using a 50mbps connection from Time Warner Cable.  Not too many issues with it - lotsa bandwidth and my ping times are usually about 50 ms.  And DA doesn't even hesitate to load for me.

Those having trouble with DA being laggy, go to dslreports.com and run a ping test.  If you're getting ping times consistently in the 300-400 ms range, well, I think that'd be the problem there.

Ughh yeah, my ping is terrible at this computer :faint: It's fine on my other computer (at a different household though) so maybe I should just stick to uploading from there :XD:;

Thanks for your feedback and for the information :D
