Little is known about the Aexcis (or Axis). Royal and rich families once kept them as loyal pets. Once the Aexcis was settled into a family, it is believed that they would never leave. They were kept outside in front of homes where they would sit quietly like a statue and guard their masters’ home. Despite their bulky figure, the Aexcis is actually very quick and their bites are deadly. Most Aexcis today exist only as ghosts or eidolons, continuing to guard the tombs of their families.
