At the Moment - Shapes by SilentReaper At the Moment - Shapes by SilentReaper
I, myself, am working towards being a hexagon.

That would be awesome.

*NOTE: Yes, not all skinny people are "healthy", and she probably was saying she had not worked out in a while. But when you're dressed like that in a public place (not a gym) and then telling people you're out of shape, it sends the wrong message. Also, I'm terrible at drawing muscles or toned bodies so I failed at portraying that part :XD:

All in all, it is definitely more important to be fit and healthy than to just be skinny. And yes, just because someone's skinny, doesn't mean they're healthy... and vice versa: people who are a little larger are not necessarily unfit (Proof: imgur.com/x5fxQ ).

Props to this girl at Chaze Bank for going to the gym and working out, but it's not really necessary to tell random people that you're "out of shape".

Okay when I say this, I mean that I can't run a single mile straight on a treadmill. Like I mean now it actually applies for me, that I could loose like, five, ten, whatever pounds. But I used to weigh 130 pounds and say this and just because that was my weight did not mean I could do anything, since I wasn't able to run a full mile.

Just thought I'd add my thoughts.

Whenever I see people like this, especially my friends, I want to slap them in the face. They complain that they're so fat when they're thin or just slightly chubby, get boyfriends, wear short shorts and go all out there when I'm here trying to lose weight and be more confident in myself. They ain't makin' it any better!

Than they're like "Gracie, you don't need to lose weight! I do!"
Peeps, I weight 184.5 lbs and you weigh, what, 110 lbs?

I can see that I have curves and stuff, but I just need to lose weight and become fit. And when I do, I guess I'll do active things once and awhile but I hope to never be like the girls that continue to eat less and exercise themselves to complete and utter unhealthy exhaustion.

Sorry...I'm ranting! ^^;

That's only if they were overweight to start with. I guess it just depends on the person's health before they start getting fit.

I don't understand me. I eat without a single care about health and the Wii Fit keeps telling me to gain weight because I'm underweight. :\
Not that I care. Because if I cared, I wouldn't be as lazy as I am. :3

Still makes me upset that you can't even make a bit of observational humour without people jumping on you about how inaccurate your post exactly was, but, that's the world, what're ya gonna do? Still funny to read.

They could be thin but still out of shape :/ Being 'in shape' usually refers to fitness (at least in the context I usually hear it), but it's possible to be skinny and unfit (from lack of exercise or whatever).

Ennh, it's not even about health. My brother works out constantly and he's buff as shit, but he keeps going on about how scrawny he is, and no matter how muscly he gets, he'll never think it's enough. It's almost like anorexia, though much less life threatening.

Doesn't always have to be about a person who's not athletic looking to say that. I have tons of friends with "fit" bodies, are either thin or look normal. Most of them are in a really bad shape. BUT YES. I don't like hearing it from them. When I'm the one struggling at the gym everyday, to become what they look like xD It's frustrating :D

Did you ever consider that perhaps she was a former runner or extreme athlete of some kind? People tend to stop working out for all kinds of reasons and begin to notice their bodies decline in physical endurance regardless of how "skinny" or how overweight they may look or be. Why make fun of an area of mentality with little consideration when you could talk face to face with people and find out how they really/might really want to see in themselves.
I do however agree that thing girls complaining about being overweight is annoying, everyone's belly rolls when they lean forward and keeping a body fat content of say 8% is an extreme challenge. So much so that that's the average amount body builders get themselves to for serious competitions. Ask any of them and they will straight up tell you it's a dangerous percentage to be at for too long. If they get below that then really bad damage can be done to their bodies.
Yeah . . I'm done ranting now. .

I can so relate to this comic. There is girls that have been in past classes that was really skinny and they said they was fat. All I could think of is, "Hello? Have you seen my weight? =.= I'm ACTUALLY considered overweight in medical terms. I don't wanna hear you whining."

People become upset when people say things like this out of their own insecurities. Perhaps she does feel out of shape or that she's having difficulties at the gym. She should be allowed to voice her difficulties. Why must those who are into physical activity not talk about their interests because it does not interest those who are legitimately out of shape. I dislike action movies but when people talk about them I do not become agitated. Look deep into yourself and realize why you are becoming upset when others talk of their physical being.

There's only one thing more annoying than that. Skinny girl seeking attention and saying "Oh noes I'm sooo faaat!", when she's obviously not, and she's way skinnier than me. I know that she's saying that to make me feel bad about my body, and to hear how people say "Nooo you're not fat! You're so pretty!", but I'm gonna say "Yeah, you gained some weight lately, didn't you?". And then I'm the evil one, because "How could you say that?!".

I find it annoying when someone voices their concern about their weight and someone who is larger then them is annoyed on the basis that they weigh more. Just because you weigh more doesn't mean that anyone who weighs less than you isn't allowed to be concerned about their weight.

I'm not saying that skinny people aren't allowed to have complexes. I'm a bit big, but I'm working hard to get in shape, I finally managed to stop being overweight, my weight is fine now, and I'm still trying to be thinner. And everybody knows how much I hate my body, how many times I cried, how hard it was for me to lose weight (I had some serious hormones problems). And then comes attention seeker and whines how fat she is, and how disguisting fat is. And she weights less than 50 kg with 175 cm. She's skinny as hell, and she doesn't have complexes, because she's goddamn perfect. And she knows it, she's confident about her body (someone who thinks he's ugly doesn't post sh*tload of bikini pictures on facebook). And she's doing that ONLY to make me feel lika a crap (because even after my hard work I'm still ugly compared to her), and to hear compliments. Do you know how painful and annoying it is to hear? I know that even pretty people can have problems and they can see imperfections in themselves. But making yourself feel better by ruining someone's confidence is mean. You really think it's fine? Well it's not. After every "conversation" like this I feel like a shitty, worthless fatass, even if my weight is fine. Just because mean girl wanted to hear people compliment how beautiful, skinny and perfect she is.

You should be really proud that you're working hard to get in shape. That's amazing. Seriously. Many people who you'd never expect have body image issues. Those girls who post bikini pics probably are extremely self conscious and post them to get validation. Everyone suffers. Those girls are probably not even thinking about you. They probably do not even realize that you would feel offended. They are not intentionally trying to shatter your confidence, they are just trying to gain what you're trying to gain- confidence.

I think it's just as telling indirectly that they're even more overweight that you are, and that you *kind of* feel that they're just as "gross", "a whale" or whatever you name it (even when you apply it to yourself)... and you imply that they're not concerned for their looks just as you are.... that's why it's mean and disrespectful to do it in front of someone fatter than you. Why the hell should anybody have to explain that to you??? If you want to "voice your concern", do it in front of someone who wont feel offended.

It's quite selfish to assume they are always thinking about you or that everyone should constantly be worried about hurting your feelings. Trust me, 9/10 they aren't doing it to try to make you uncomfortable.
